Before What’s Next: Harvesting Growth at a Leadership Threshold
The approaching Winter Solstice reminds us we're approaching a threshold- a place of change. Before jumping to what's next, thresholds are a natural place to pause and take notice
Not to plan the next sprint. :
Not to optimize or fix.
But to look back—long enough to gather what this season has given us.
As the year closes and new possibilities begin to stir, I want to invite you into that pause.
Because growth doesn’t always show up in full throttle mode
Sometimes it shows up as a quiet nudge.
This week, I closed the final session of Positive Intelligence for Leadership, and what emerged was a harvesting.
This week, I closed the final session of Positive Intelligence for Leadership, and what emerged wasn’t just a sense of completion. It was clarity. Relief. Pride. And a deeper trust in what participants are already carrying forward.
What We Practiced
In our final session, we didn’t rush to set new goals or stack up next steps. Instead, we reflected and harvested.
Participants named how they’re catching their inner critics earlier and responding with more intention—especially in moments of pressure. Many spoke about reconnecting with parts of themselves that had been quietly sidelined over time: playfulness, curiosity, courage, ease.
Using tools grounded in neuroscience, we explored how leaders can shift from fear-based reactions to responses rooted in clarity, empathy, and possibility. Decisions became less about forcing outcomes and more about trusting an inner compass.
And perhaps most powerfully, people named the relief of discovering they weren’t alone.
Across different roles, organizations, and life circumstances, common patterns emerged. The work wasn’t about fixing something broken—it was about strengthening awareness and choice in the places that matter most.
Voices from the Room
Here are a few reflections participants shared as we closed our time together:
“It really helped me solidify what my priorities are.”
“Not feeling alone in the same problems we’re all facing was incredibly helpful.”
“It gave me different tools to reframe things—and more hope.”
“Coming here has been a highlight. I’ll definitely miss it.”
“I don’t know how it happened, but the timing couldn’t have been better for my life.”
These are capable, committed leaders choosing to build inner capacity alongside outer impact—leaders willing to slow down just enough to lead with greater clarity and humanity.
A Small Harvest Practice (5 Minutes)
Before moving on, I invite you to pause with one of these reflections:
One challenge that stretched me this season was ________, and what it gave me was ________.
Something I can do now that I couldn’t do before is ________.
A strength I relied on more than I realized is ________.
This kind of reflection isn’t indulgent.
It’s how growth integrates—and how wisdom becomes available when you need it most.
An Invitation
Positive Intelligence for Leadership isn’t about adding more to your plate. It’s about changing how you meet what’s already there.
The program offers a structured, supportive space to:
Build awareness under pressure
Strengthen emotional agility
Practice self-leadership in real time
Learn alongside other leaders who care deeply about how they lead
If this reflection resonates, I’d love to explore whether this work is a fit for you right now. You’re welcome to schedule an exploratory call.
And if someone comes to mind who’s navigating a lot with very little space to pause, feel free to share this post with them. These threshold moments are often when the right support matters most.
Wherever you’re standing today, may you honor what you’ve already carried—and step forward with a little more ease, clarity, and trust in yourself.
Stay Wild,
Meghan
